Adjusting the range of the transmitter

The dial for adjusting the range is located on the right side of the transmitter (PT4, 1200). VERY IMPORTANT: Do never adjust the range of the transmitter whenever the receiver is on the neck of your dog. Depending on the size of your property and the needs of your dog signal range may vary from the boundary wire. You can adjust the range of the transmitter by turning the RANGE dial with a small screwdriver clockwise if you want to increase and counterclockwise if you want to decrease the range.  The loop monitor display or LMD indicates and allows you to adjust the signal range in feet (1 feet=30.48 cm) from either side of the boundary wire. For example, if your Dogwatch dealer sets the LMD to 8 this sets the signal field width to 8 feet on each side of the boundary wire.

For better understanding how to adjust the range of the transmitter we invite you to watch the following short video.
