Checking the size of the signal field

DogWatch hidden fences are working with radio wave emission. Used frequency band ranges from  4 kHz to 8 kHz, in order to protect your dog from radio waves generated by household equipments that work in AM frequency band range.

The burried wire carries a harmless, low level radio signal from transmitter installed in your house. The lightweight, waterproof receiver collar weared by your dog, captures the radio signal. As your pet approaches the buried wire, the receiver collar emits a warning signal. If your pet travels further, he will receive a mild but safe stimulation from the receiver collar.  You can modify the size of the signal field on the transmitter.

You can check the size of the signal field which is your dog's avoidant zone by using the dog watch receiver. When using the receiver collar walk toward the boundary where it crosses the driveway hold the receiver in your hand at your dog's neck level with the contact posts away from you. Be careful not to touch the contact posts or you might receive a correction. First you will hear the audible tone and the status light will blink green indicating you are in the audible zone of the boundary area. As you move your hand further into the boundary area you will continue to hear the audible tone but the status light will begin to blink (R7 Mini and R9) both green and red. This will indicate you are in the correction zone.

In order to understand the procedure of checking and setting the size of signal field, please watch the short video presentation.
